Background

As urbanization process accelerates and the density of transportation networks increases, road operation areas are faced with the problem of intrusion of large machinery such as apparatus booms, hooks and obstacles during construction, which poses a threat to the safety of railroads, highways. Therefore, there is a need to utilize detection systems to detect and warn of potential risks in time. LiDAR has become the first choice for perimeter intrusion detection in high-speed railroads due to its long-range, high precision and strong outdoor adaptability.

Richbeam has built a intrusion detection station for client based on LiDAR and camera fusion technology. Through this station, it can realize all-weather and continous obstacle intrusion monitoring of road information. In addition, the detection station is equipped with gateway equipment, which can realize remote monitoring and report information. When perimeter obstacles intrude into the road sides, it triggers the equipment to work and alarms with warning lights and loudspeakers to ensure the safety and of railroad operations.

Equipment Assembly
Assemble the LiDAR detection station at the railroad perimeter, the LiDAR is Assembled vertically, capable of 360° scanning in the vertically to ground. Two cameras are assembled between the LiDAR and warning light, which are upward monitoring, to achieve 180 ° full coverage.
